ABOUT US PAGE

Who We Are

The Green Development & Trade Alliance is a registered Kenyan NGO founded on the belief that sustainable development requires people-centred solutions that support both livelihoods and the environment. We empower communities to adopt regenerative practices, embrace circular thinking, build competitive enterprises and improve their health and wellbeing. Our work prioritizes marginalized rural and peri-urban communities, youth, women and small-scale producers, ensuring that those most affected by economic and environmental challenges are not left behind.

Mission

Empowering communities through regenerative systems.

Our mission is to empower communities through sustainable practices that strengthen environmental conservation, enhance agricultural resilience, expand equitable trade and improve health outcomes—ensuring that development is holistic, inclusive, and future-looking.

Vision

Communities thriving with dignity, equity, and climate resilience.

We envision a Kenya where communities live in harmony with nature, have equitable access to opportunities and enjoy sustainable livelihoods supported by circularity, innovation, and strong community systems.

Values

Our guiding principles.

We are guided by integrity, inclusivity, sustainability, innovation and equity. These values shape the way we design our programmes, engage communities and build partnerships. They ensure that our work remains transparent, ethical, environmentally grounded, and committed to fair advancement for all.
